Once a certificate is certified by us, no further verification is needed, benefiting everyone from recruitment agencies to management companies and employers.
Addressing Verification Challenges
The maritime industry has seen an increase in fake certificates, prompting MLC agency regulations to mandate thorough document checks. Many crew members are signed up with multiple agencies, typically between six to twelve, leading to significant redundancy when their documents require verification by each agency.
To address this, we’ve launched our Issuer Authentication Portal. Here, we conduct a comprehensive internal check of all documents before sending them to the issuer for final verification, streamlining the process and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
2-Step Verification Process
Our 2-step process ensures no fraudulent certificates slip through, enhancing security across the maritime industry. Initially, the CrewPass team conducts thorough inspections of key documents like STCW and ENG1, checking for authenticity and verifying expiration dates. Once validated, these documents are transferred to the issuer for final approval. This system guarantees thorough vetting, eliminating the need for further checks and boosting confidence among all parties involved.
Preliminary Checks
CrewPass reviews each document to verify its authenticity, checks personal information against issuer details, and ensures all data including expiration dates are correct.
Centralised Portal
Crew members initiate the process by uploading their documents to the portal. All certificate verification requests are then queued and managed within a user-friendly portal. No more juggling emails and attachments—everything you need is in one place.
Audit Trail
Issuers securely log into our portal via the link they’ve received via email. Our platform tracks each step of the verification process and records who from which institution has checked each document. By eliminating the need for logins, our system simplifies access and maintains transparency.
Easily Approve or Reject
Issuers can quickly approve or reject certificates in a few clicks. Crew members are immediately notified of their document status, enhancing communication and efficiency.
